While your confessions are posted under your anonymous ID, this content is linked to your actual user account in our backend system to enable functionality like "My Confessions".
• Technical Data: We automatically collect certain information when you access the Service, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and access times. This data is used for security, analytics, and service maintenance.

2. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Service to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Display your confessions anonymously on your college-specific feed.
• Enable features like "My Confessions" and "My Bookmarks" by linking content to your user ID.
• Operate the token and referral system.

• Public Anonymity: Your real email address and user ID are never displayed publicly. All your activity (confessions, comments) is shown using your randomly generated anonymous ID.
• No Sale of Data: We will not sell your personal data to third parties.
• Law Enforcement: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability. We will attempt to limit any disclosure to the necessary minimum.

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. We use industry-standard services like Firebase Authentication and Firestore Security Rules to secure your data.
